Many doubt the word of the lord, but my congregation and I know the power of his mercy. Once this land was blighted and infertile, but our lord heard our prayers and saw fit to bless us with a bountiful harvest year after year, such is the fruit of our devotion. If the lord does not hear the prayers of others it is because they have lost their way, given in to temptation or forsaken the old ways for a "softer" more "modern" faith. Our god is a lord of mercy, but he is also a lord of sacrifice. To truly earn his favor, one must live a life of piousness and poverty. One must turn away from the marvel and glamor of the modern world, knowing that

Spirit of the Swamp
With new eyes I gaze up at the night sky. These eyes are young, sharp. Much better than the festering doe eyes I wore previously. It's been ages since a man wondered into my swamp, I will take much from him. Old roots and sinew creak as I pick though the remains, choosing the best parts to replace what I have lost. Again I was too gluttonous. So many good parts ruined by my claws or devoured in a frenzy. I really need to practice more self control, this new brain meat should help with that. He was a clever one. War on the Gods
There was once a happier time, a time when we loved our gods and in return for our love they blessed us with good harvest and prosperity. That was many years ago, now there is only famine, sickness and death. To make matters worse, what little resources we have are being stretched thin by our great war. A war to end tyranny and bring back those prosperous times before the black fog descended upon our cities. A war against the very gods we sang our praises to only a few short years before. No one knows WHY the gods turned their backs on us, but we all remember the day it happened, the day of black fog.

The Lunar Fires
After the end of the cold war America's efforts in space exploration quickly declined. Some would say we no longer had competition to push us onward. Some say it wouldn't be economically wise to devote such funding to space exploration. I know the real reason Uncle Sam's eyes have turned away from the stars, and it's got nothing to do with money. We no longer explore the stars because we discovered a truth we cannot bear to face.
My name is Kurt Ellenwood, communications engineer for the last maned mission to the moon conducted by NASA, Apollo 19. That's right, 19. After the "final" Apollo mission there were two more mission
